Maroeska Metz graduated from the Department of Sculpture at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in 1985.
After five years, Maroeska specialized in interior design, with an accent on lighting design.
She jump-started her career in the design world with a unique design:
a metal candelabra featuring a distinctive curl. Larger projects, such as custom-made lighting, shop interiors, were soon to follow.
Over the years, Maroeska has designed a variety of items, ranging from crockery, tables, chairs, sofas,
carpets, fireplaces and duvets to cutlery. From children’s furniture, lamps, glassware, champagne glasses,
goblets and decanters, to mirrors, exterior lighting, tiles, fish bowls, vases, diaries and bags.
And recently, a new line of jewellery was introduced on the market: www.rizo.com.
